Drainage
Preservation of historic houses often starts with the drainage of its brickwork to protect the building fabric.- Based on the results of thorough analysis of the brickwork, our experts can recommend the optimal solution for every dampness problem, which includes possible additional measures such as preliminary drying out to prepare for drainage injectate, removal of plaster, scraping of grooves, etc.
- Drainage works with horizontal barriers created by pressure injection, mechanical or electro osmotic methods or surface injections against dampness penetrating the walls at an angle. The salt content of the brickwork, which encourages moisture absorption, can also be reduced by using electrodes.
- Plaster materials with higher diffusion to the exterior, together with the right paint are ultimately the guarantee for successful, long-lasting brickwork drainage and warranty compliance.
- After drainage works are completed, residual moisture is dried from the walls with heating rods and open pore paint is applied, your walls and corridors will look like new.
Facade Restoration
- Historic buildings are restored to their old glory through colour-matched cornices moulded according to the style of the era.
- A cost-saving new outfit: if you are prepared to make do with Putzwolken (minimal surface structure differences), which are only visible in sidelight, it would not be necessary to demolish the entire façade.
- Emergency repairs and minor cornice restorations can be carried out inexpensively through Ecowork’s industrial climbers and hoisting platforms.

Insulation Measures (Full Thermal Insulation)
- Coordinated Full Thermal Insulation systems based on Styrofoam or cork not only reduce heating costs but also protect, i.e. against.
- Installation costs of full thermal insulation measures and new windows with a U-value of 1, 1-1.2 W/Km2 in existing buildings can amortise after 10 years. Partial solutions such as thermal insulation of lowest/uppermost ceilings or of garage entrances also lead to a considerable reduction in heating costs.
-
Problems such as rust and lead in drinking water or hairline cracks in pipes can be dealt with swiftly, without chiselling and cost effectively through lining the inside of the pipes with epoxy resin.- Following separation of the damaged pipe from the remaining piping, air-drying and cleaning with sandblasting, the pipes are lined inside with epoxy resin, which is completely harmless to humans. After only 12 hours of drying, the pipe can be used again.
- This method is used for copper, lead and steel pipes.

- Removal of thermal bridges for the prevention of mould.
- Treatment and removal of mould and dry rot.
